Benefit of Chaast prayer (Salah al-Duha)
I want to know what is the benefit for Chast salaah?
Chast Salah is performed between the full rising of the sun until the Shariah time of midday. It is a Nafl prayer which holds special superiority. It is up to the individual how many Rak’ats of this to read; he can read between two and twelve Rak’ats with the recitation of any Surah.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Whosoever reads Salah al-Duha as twelve Rak’ats, Allah will build for him a palace in paradise.’ (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Maja: cited in al-Mawahib al-Laduniyya, 3: 220)
In another report, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
‘Whosoever continuously performs two Rak’ats of Salah al-Duha, his sins will be forgiven, even if they amount to all the foam in the sea.’ (al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib, p. 133)
